iPhone 6S (iOS 12): Crackling noise when using bluetooth earphones on Apple Music

I updated iOS from 11.4 to iOS 12 couple of days back. I have got Sony W-C400 bluetooth headset. I did not have Apple music subscription before upgrading to iOS 12. After upgrading, I took the Apple Music subscription. I used the same headset on iOS 11.4 as well but while listening to songs on Apple Music on iOS 12, lot of crackling noise is there. But when I use any other music player or same headset on other phone, no crackling noise is coming. If I use other bluetooth headset on my iOS 12, again no crackling noise.

It seems that the problem is occurring for Apple Music and only on iOS 12.

Does anybody have any solution on this?

I have the same issue with an iPhone 8 going from 11.4 to 12. Playing audio books through iBooks works just fine but playing audio using the Music app causes crackling. Seems to happen most when the volume on the phone is turned up all the way. If I turn down the volume on the phone to about 75% then raise the volume on the speaker it doesn't crackle as much. Have tried this using bluetooth in my car, wireless headphones, and a bluetooth speaker. All have the crackle.

Definitely didn't do this before iOS 12 and doesn't crackle when I use lightning headphone plugged into the phone. Have tried rebooting the phone several times but no change
