iPhone XS Charging issue

I paid $281.34 for two of the Belkin Valet Docks on November 18, 2017 just 10 months ago at the Apple Store in Houston. Apple and Belkin's solution is for me to buy another pair of these units. I wonder how far I would get in small claims court. Apple should step up and either fix the software in the new phones or replace our chargers. We have the right to expect that products purchased from Apple will not be obsoleted so soon with upgraded phones. I do not have to tell you how much more I spent for two Xs Maxes. Maybe I should return the new phones before the return date passes.

A small wall charger for the phone (which comes with the phone) does not replace the now $139 paperweight I own. I'm not sure if it's just Belkin to blame. Has Apple done something different with these new phones? All other wall chargers will charge the phones, why won't this?

So what I am gathering from this is that Belkin has questionable design practices possibly including overcharging of phones. All the more reason for people to never purchase a Belkin electronic products again. I won't be for sure.

Well here is another user having this issue. For a second i thought my charger was damaged, but realized my GFs X charges fine. How is it other cables charge the XS Max fine and this device doesnt? I did buy it at the apple store when i got my series 2 watch and assumed since i bought it there, its an official Apple licensed product. Its not like we bought some china amazon brand. Either Apple or Belkin needs to fix this. I dont even think i have my receipt anymore which would suck if i need it.

I really hope they have a fix for this.

I have the exact same issue and it aggravates the heck out of me. What was I supposed to throw this one and go buy new one??? That is definitely a predatory practice to make Your devices obsolete once new iphone comes out!!!

I will never buy Belkin product if there is nothing done about this!

MFi stipulates a set of technical criteria you must adhere to to satisfy the certification process. The reason Apple are not interested (at this stage) is because Belkin self certified compliance with MFi. Maybe the original design was changed during production and now that change has come back to bite them. Bottom line is that Belkin are really hoping this goes away and quickly!

Fantastic, completed a full charge cycle from 46% - 100% with no drop outs. Watch S4 and Xs Max both fully charged. I hope everyone else can report in the same success, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for everyone.

I’ve had the same problem. I went to the Apple store today and the guy I spoke to said he had heard about this problem. He said the next OS update on the Xs Max might fix it or the next edition of the Belkin dual charger. I suspect neither of those two options is happening anytime soon.

Morning, good news this morning. When I got up the Xs Max was on 98% charge and the watch S4 at 93% change. Put them both onto the dock and exactly the same result, chimed out once and then went back to steady charge and both devices charged fully with no further drop outs. Don’t forget to let us know how you get on 🏼

I have the same problem.

The Belkin stand has worked for me with the iPhone 7, and the iPhone X. I don't understand what the issue is with the iPhone XS -- it doesn't seem like there should be that much of a difference, but it keeps chiming and the display on the phone keeps lighting up. There hasn't been any issue with charging watches Series 1 and 2. Just got my Series 4 today... we'll see how that goes tonight. Grrrr. Not excited about a charging pad, since cats feel obligated to clear flat surfaces.

I have the same issue as raised here and just want to let Apple know that they should evaluate products they sell in their stores to make sure they are not an issue. Very disappointed and will not be giving either of them my next charger purchase.

This is rediculois. I should never have upgraded. So much hassle I could have done without. Apple, wake up!!! Apple Watch 4 issues with Instograph and now charger issues on products you endorse. The charger, watch and phone are not cheap. Apple are a rip off company.

I jave bought a Xs max iPhone only 8 days ago and since the first time I have had problems with the charge.

It doesn’t charge!

The charge lasts only 5 Hours whitout doing anything of special .

I put regularly the mobile on charge during the night but the next morning my mobile hasn’t got enough charge.

It doesn’t depend on the battery because it is good.

I am glad to know I am non the only one

Just to add... my wife has the same dock in a different colour and the issue is the same!
