Auto Sync on Windows 10

The option "automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" is greyed out on Windows 10. I installed iTunes this morning and it is greyed out. I've tried the checking and unchecking the "Prevent ..." option in the Device Preference to no avail.

I'm a Mac guy and my wife has the Windows 10 laptop with her iPhone. Not really impressed with Windows 10 🙂

Notes:

  • This is the only computer that will sync the iPhone
  • I manually backed up and synced the iPhone on this instance of iTunes on Windows 10

What do I need to do to turn on auto launching and automatically synching the iPhone is connected?

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 11.4.1

At this point it isn't clear, but this is the second thread I've seen on this issue. Take a look at "Automatically sync" in itunes for Windows is greyed out and see what we've tried so far. As a matter of interest did you install iTunes from the Microsoft Store or by downloading an iTunes setup file directly from Apple.com?
