iPhone xs max keyboard glitch?

I’m also noticing the regular keyboard lags in iMessage or even when using safari. Noticed some letters don’t respond when tapping on them. I just updated to iOS 12.1 nothing’s resolved

Thanks for using Apple discussions. The iPhone Xs Max is a new device and there’s many apps that still have not adjusted to the new screen size. Future updates of these apps should improve performance and fix the keyboard issues your having.

It's frustrating, isn't it? I wish we knew what to tell you — but we are users like yourself, with no special insider knowledge. I'm pretty sure developers must be hustling to fix these glitches; then they've got to submit the update to the App Store for approval. But really I can't imagine it will take too much longer.

Agreed. Went from the 7plus. The keyboard misses keys. Though it was me. But the bottom left (Aszx) keys seem to be most affected. Like they are dead areas. Without a firm tap it won’t register the selected letter. Very annoying. Jobs would’ve been disappointed.

I’m also seeing an issue in iMessage where I’ll be typing a message and for a brief moment, less than a second, it will just stop typing. So I might miss a word or part of a word. I can’t replicate it as it seems to happen randomly. I pause for a moment and then keep typing and it’s fine.

It’s been a week and the problem still persists. I experience it in WhatsApp and Facebook messenger.
