IOS 12 copy paste problem

Background App Refresh is off and always has been, so that doesn't fix it for at least me.

I'd be lucky to get that, the contents of my clipboard just goes away.

This has happening to me even before the update

after update it's just work for me at least 2-3 days. after that, its problem remain the same

Not sure if it’s the same issue but this discussion talks about problems trying to copy content across different Apps. Why cant I copy and paste with iOS 11?

It’s not affecting all devices because I appear to still have the function (using iPad Mini 2), obviously links copy ok because I’ve used in this reply (but that’s Safari to Safari), but also tried copying text from Messages into Safari which also works fine.

The first and easiest would be to try a Forced Restart, if that does work try an ”Update” by putting the device into Recovery Mode when connecting to a Mac, selecting Update then replaces the OS without touching your data or Apps.

Same here, i create events on Facebook every week, and i can’t copy text from last events i made, it’s annoying i have to do it on my pc. And this has happen before in some apps or websites. I’m using xs max btw. This should be fixed because it would save time and it’s just annoying have to switch to pc to copy long texts

I am neither able to drag and copy text nor move cursor by one tap, its seeming like touch is going insensitive for that fraction of time. And when am tapping & holding at a point, its magnifying text as usual but as soon as i start dragging my finger to select a complete sentence, its going insensitive.

Note: Its working while i was typing this message ! But in mails’ body and while searching on google etc. etc., the problem persists.

I had the same problem with links in text messages. I used to hold down my finger on it and it would copy. Now it just opens the link. I found out how to copy it though (after months of aggravation). You just press and hold while sliding your finger up and the "Copy" option appears. I'm not sure why they changed it as it made sense to press once and the link opens, and press and hold to copy it, but I"m finding that common sense and technology (nor general common sense anywhere) doesn't exist much anymore...

Copy is not the problem. Paste after a timeout or opening another app is the issue.

I had this problem and followed a guide to turn off background app refresh. Now I can paste again. Just did it now.
