Who is "Homed" ?

I keep getting a window saying "Homed" wants my password after upgrading to Mohave. What the heck is this, and if it is legit, why doesn't Apple explain this better? It looks suspicious and the dickens!

These answers may work. However, it looks like the spelling from the original question was ignored.

I have the pop up as well after installing Mojave and the spelling in the pop up is clearly homed.

The apparent misspelling makes it look very suspicious especially when it is asking for access to my keychain.

No, I do not think the OP questions concerning "Homed" was ignored.

From ~/Library/Preferences/ you clearly have a preference file associated with the Home.app

com.apple.homed.plist

I do not use the Home.app but from Finder>Go>Go To Folder> copy and paste:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.homed.plist

I see activity non the less—
