Screen flicker on iPhone XS

Ours (2) flickers for no apparent reason. I could go into my bank account app, or any other app and it’ll do it. Or I can just unlock it and it will do it. There is no rhyme or reason as to why it flickers. I just hope they do an update to get rid of this issue. I’ve had every iPhone since the iPhone three and Apple is not keeping up with the many issues of owning an iPhone. It’s very disillusioning especially since this iPhone cost me over $1500.

I will give that a try. However, I don’t think us, as a consumer purchasing expensive products from Apple should have to do all this to have a product work correctly. I just hope they’re working on a fix for this.

Is this flickering very noticeable? I have something like this, but it's more at 40% of brightness. When I have True Tone "on", and I put phone near window and then back to darker part of room, I see the True Tone change (from cold to warm) and with this change I see a little bit of flickering at Apple photo app (during watching pictures) 😟. A I said, it's more at 40% of brightness, and don't know if this screen problem or software. Would be nice if Apple said something, if they working at update...

I‘ve sent an email with the description of the issue and a url to a youtube video which denonstrates the problem to Dan Riccio, SVP Hardware Engineering at Apple. This was a week ago. No respone till now :-(

Thank you for going the extra mile. This happens no matter what App I’m in or time of day. Not only do I have this issue my Apple Watch Series 4 got bricked by the latest update and I don’t have an appointment until Friday. It’s a lot of work for the consumers to stay loyal.

I have the normal Xs and i run the screen with all the auto dim crap turned off and i noticed while using cetain apps the brightness will all of a sudden dim a bit then hold, then it may brighten back up and dim again. Im running 12.1.4 and like i said i dont use auto, true tone, night shift or any of that stuff

I’m having a similar issue.. when I open up certain images on my phone the screen brightness flickers ever so slightly for a little bit and then stays uniform

Yeah, seems like you can reproduce the issue in iPhone Xs near by 18%. as per this article

I’ve noticed the same thing with the auto brightness.

I have this issue on my two iphone xs, Hope to sw Bug not hw. But it is bad for 1000usd phone

Will Apple fix this with a software update?
