Screen flicker on iPhone XS

Seems to be related to the brightness slider. When I go to the brightness settings and enter a room that is brighter or darker, I see the slider move as normal. As soon as is passes under the letter S in “brightness” it flickers once. I tried moving it manually, and I get the same issue at the same spot. It’s annoying, since it constantly goes up and down as I move around, and causes the flicker every time. Never had this with my 9 iPhones before this one. I hope it’s software related and there’s a fix on the way.

Anybody else having this issue?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1

I was updated firmware version to iOS 12.1.1 beta1. The screen is still flickering when brightness slides down to the point

You can slide the brightness bar down slowly and you will find this flicker issue. Maybe Apple is still unaware of this bug on xs and xs max.

thanks but i did it also and i even sent an email to Dan Riccio, SVP Hardware Engineering at Apple. They just don‘t care!

That’s how I feel. It’s sad but my opinion of Apple has disintegrated over the years. I’m so invested in their ecosystem that I’m stuck. 😞

That’s what I figured that it was a software issue. I really hope they don’t ignore all the people that have this problem. These are the most expensive iPhone they’ve ever made. Thank you.

The issue is currently fixed in iOS 12.1.2 beta and will be released to the public in the next few weeks. You can go ahead and start using the betas at beta.apple.com.

I'm now on 12.1.2, it flickers even more dramatic.

Anyone feels the same?
