Mac OS Mojave Keeps Logging Me Out

SOLUTION FOUND

This is what did it for me -- the Razer plugin:

...the solution was to:

- boot into Recovery mode
- open Terminal
- mount the primary hard disk volume (http://osxdaily.com/2013/05/13/mount-unmount-drives-from-the-command-line-in-mac -os-x/)
- cd to the /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/ folder per above
- remove the Razer folder and all its contents (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2642147/how-to-remove-files-and-directories- quickly-via-terminal-bash-shell)
- restart

...that did it me.

Had the same issue and had the Razor headset app installed. Just plugged in the headset in my USB/USB-C port and then logged in. Everything worked after that, no log out..

Nothing goes after HAL. But note two things:

- you have to mount your hard drive volume, as it won’t be mounted after booting into recovery mode.

- the volume name of “Macintosh HD” is the default, but if your drive has a different name you will need to use it instead.

mdelvecchio, I really need help from you. How do I mount the primary hard drive?

This site you linked is simply confusing me and I have no idea about this coding stuff, I just want my computer back because I really need it back for school. I have a razer kraken 7.1, razer blackwidow, razer naga hex connected to it.

Just to reiterate, once I mount the primary hard drive, I type in exactly that command, and somehow delete the Razer Plugins, right?

Please help me out, you would honestly be saving a life.

I tried this solution but I can’t even cd to that location.

I successfully mount the drive, but when typing cd /volumes/Macintosh HD etc.. it returns what you can see in the picture.

I also tried tried typing MacintoshHD as you can see.

Any ideas?

What goes after /HAL because it’s telling me no such file or dkrec

I have no clue what "cd" is or anything about deleting the files.

Likewise. I have tried the usual suggestions:

- reset PRAM (has this ever done anything for anyone? just saying)

- reset the SMC

- Recovery boot: attempted to Repair Disk but option is disabled

- Recovery boot: reinstalled Mojave

...still does it. My next and last step is to erase the volume, reformat, and reinstall.
