Code Signature Invalid - stock applications
Macbook Pro 15" 2017 with Touch Bar:
Successfully upgraded to Mojave but several apps fail to run with a code signature invalid error. The apps are Safari, Photos, News and System Preferences. All other stock apps, apps from the app store and third-party apps work fine.
I tried starting the apps different ways with the same error (shift key or right-click and open from the finder). I also tried booting in safe mode and from another guest account on the system - same error below.
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (Code Signature Invalid)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000032, 0x000000010cf798a9
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Termination Reason: Namespace CODESIGNING, Code 0x2
I want to avoid a reinstall if I can, I know each of these apps (except System Prefs) are likely to get updates before I need them. Is there any other way to get these apps to run in the meantime, can I self-sign or bypass gatekeeper for a specific app?
thanks,
Mark
