Short circuit while charging. MacBook Air is dead

Hello all,

I got a short circuit of my 45W MagSafe2 charger while it was connected to my MacBook Air. MacBook not responding after that. See the photos attached. MacBook is at Certified Apple Service Center now for diagnostic.

What options do I have in this situation? Can I count on the refund of the service/repair costs? I'm in Poland Krakow.

If I place it on the table beside me, it will start charging again. Pick it up and put it on my lap, it stops charging. Tried the Reset the SMC controller. No go. Rebooted. Same result. Cleaned the magsafe connector with rubbing alcohol. Any good ideas?? thx.

Macbook Air going dead after charging with generic USB-C cable I messed up my USB-C cable to my 2020 MacBook Air. I bought an Apple one from Best Buy, but it was too short. So, I found a generic one on Amazon. Now, last night I left the MacBook with a 77% charge. I open it today and it's dead. This is the second day in a row this has happened. Could the dead battery be from using a generic USB-C charger? I bought an official one from Apple just in case. Anyone else have this issue?

MacBook Air charges intermittently with new MagSafe 2 adapter My MacBook Air 2017 would not charge beyond 32%. Battery shows normal. Reset SMC, ran diagnostics off internet and got code PPP003 which deals with unplugging and plugging in MagSafe 2 adapter. Still would not charge over 32%. Bought new Apple MagSafe 2 45 W adapter and computer immediately charged up to 56% and then stopped. After an hour it moved to 57% and after another 40 minutes it charged up to 58%. Anyone else have this problem with the MagSafe's intermittent charging?
