Just updated my OS to Mojave this morning and brought my laptop to work. It was on full charge when I left home. 2hrs after using it, the battery percentage was down to 40% which never happened before during any of my regular use. Also, the texts on the screen are blurry.

I spoke to Apple support, suggested resetting the battery/memory by holding down the control, shift, option and power keys then release the first three at the same time. Also noted this update will take time to configure the file structure. It does this while sleeping and takes a incredible amount of resource. It took three days but my Mac has returned to normal all on its own or maybe the reset helped. Give it a try, sometimes waiting does pay off.

Same issue , after updating to Mojave , battery is draining like water after 100% charge , its work for 4 hours roughly plus device is getting heated up. Kindly fix this issue
The most battery draining app is Safari, as it was even before on High Sierra and elder OS's. I'll try to reset the SMC as you suggested 😉
It could be draining faster at present as the hard disk is re indexing.
Once this is done it should be back to normal.
I installed update last week on my mBP 2017 touch.
All appears to be normal.
Mostly third party apps causing battery drain , which was not the issue in Mac OS seirra any how Mojave is draining the battery faster compare to previous mac os

I have just noticed that changing "Dynamic Desktop" to "Dark (still)" improved the battery performance.
In my case
sleep 60 (sleep prevented by nsurlsessiond, nsurlsessiond)
this time "sleep prevented by storedownloadd"
10.14.1 didn't fix it on first generation MacBook12 here. I'll downgrade to High Sierra.
I've replaced the battery on my mpb last week, but even with a brand new battery and running only Safari, the battery drains 30% an hour. Over night it drops for around 10%.

Are you using the same charger? It could be a maintenance stuff up in the making or you have downloaded apps with viruses (virus's can cause battery drainage)
I've managed do downgrade back to high Sierra through a quite tedious process...
I'm not sure if you can skip reverting to factory and just make a bootable usb from the High Sierra installer since I havent tested downloading High Sierra from Mojave. Not sure if the new app store allows downloading this installer.
I have this problem as well on my MacBook Air 2015. It often goes to safe mode when booting it up from completely off. It will be laggy afterwards and kind of random but some parts of the screen will show green scratches that I have to restart it to get it back to work
