Right click does not work after upgrade to Mojave

Thanks, dialabrain. Before I saw your reply I had just tried doing this, rebooting, and then reconfiguring the mouse:

rm ~/Library/Preferences/*[mM]ouse*

That erases every preference with "mouse" in the name, and that fixed it for me. I suspect the single suggestion from your first reply in that thread would have solved it.

I'm having the same problem with a 2014 Retina iMac 27. If I create a new user and configure right click on that account, it works there. But returning to the original account renders right click broken again.

you are using Mac with Touch Bar , in trackpad gestures check the settings for right click .See this macOS Sierra: Change the way your trackpad works

The rm option in terminal also worked for me after a reboot whereas some of the other options didn't.

I did forget to reset my preferences in Mouse setup though which took me a few seconds to realise. Now I'm caffeinated, I won't make that mistake again 😉

Was it clean installation ( erasing the hard drive and reinstallation ) or an archive installation .

For some reason deleted the files in Finder didn't work for me after a reboot. I did the rm above in terminal and it worked perfect after a reboot. Thanks!

I have the same issue with my trackpad. I'm not using a mouse. Could someone please share the "rm ..." command for the trackpad as opposed to the mouse? Thanks!
