Apple TV 4k HDR Passthrough Not Working

When connecting the Apple TV directly to the TV, HDR works just fine. However, when I try and connect the Apple TV to my Sony HT-CT800 soundbar and try the "Test HDR" option the screen just goes black and does not recover. The sound bar fully supports 4k HDR @ 60hz. I've tested each cable individually and HDR works fine when plugging the Apple TV directly into the TV. According to the soundbar manual, I need to enable the "enhanced" setting on the HDMI input to support the HDR passthrough. I did this and it did not resolve the issue. Has anyone gotten this to work?
