Shadows bottom of the screen

My MacBook pro late 2016 recently started showing weird shadows on the bottom of the screen and then out of nowhere it goes black, but still works. And it turns on, but after a while for dark again. Does anybody know what this is?

Hi amaury138,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you've recently started seeing shadows on the bottom of the screen of your Mac, and after some time the display will go dark, come back, and eventually go dark again. I can see why you'd reach out for assistance with this behavior; I'm happy to help. I'd recommend that you use the steps below to reset the NVRAM on your Mac and then test to see if you see the behavior persist:

How to reset NVRAM

Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold these four keys together: Option, Command, P, and R. You can release the keys after about 20 seconds, during which your Mac might appear to restart.

If your Mac is using a firmware password, this key combination does nothing or causes your Mac to start up from macOS Recovery. To reset NVRAM, first turn off the firmware password.

When your Mac finishes starting up, you might want to open System Preferences and adjust any settings that were reset, such as sound volume, display resolution, startup disk selection, or time zone.

If so, use these steps to run a diagnostic on your Mac and let me know what the results are: How to use Apple Diagnostics on your Mac

Best Regards.
