No audio input from usb audio devices since upgrading to Mojave

Upgraded to Mojave on my late 2012 Mac Mini yesterday and when I went to record audio from my two external usb audio devices no input registers on the VinylStudio software. It is the latest 64bit version 9.0.9. I have tried to select the input from the Audio Midi setup screen but the volume sliders are grayed out. The Sound preferences panel shows input when I select either device but still no input on the software side. I am using the Audient ID14 with the latest firmware 1.0.9 and the latest control panel 4.0.3. I am also using the Schiit Jil ADC. This is very frustrating!

In System Preferences go to Security and Privacy pane. Enable Privacy then unlock pane bottom left and select accessibility.

Then on right side window add(+) your app to window under apps to control computer. Close everything up and it should work.

Ok - I think I know what happened -somehow I didn't give the app permission to use the microphone? How do I do that? The reason why it makes sense is I downloaded Sound Studio 4 and when I installed it it asked if I wanted to give the app permission to use the microphone and I clicked on yes and voila - audio input from my external devices. Now how do I give that permission to Vinyl Studio? Do I have to reinstall it? I cannot find anything on the web about this issue.
