Finder uses too much memory
Recently I have found that my memory is always at around 500-800MB. I opened activity monitor and saw that finder uses like 5GB of memory (my total memory is 8GB so using 5GB for doing nothing is a lot). I searched online and saw that this may be caused by the fact that when you open finder it goes to the "all my files" section and by changing this the problem could be solved. Indeed I changed it so that when I open finder it goes to the desktop section. The problem was solved but only for a day or so. Although finder is not on the "all my folders" section, it still uses like 5-6GB of memory.
I have tried rebooting, closing finder and cleaning up my memory with memory cleaner etc, but the problem persists.
Any suggestions?
