Screen time
I have two children on my Screentime account. I can only see one of their activity. The other said he is not on. He is always on.
What is happening?
How can I change it?

I just submitted another feedback item to Apple relating to the accuracy of time tracking. One of my children plays Fortnite on his iPad. We tested it...he played for 2 hours one day, and Screentime related that he's played 14 minutes. I'm not sure if it's the way the Fortnite application works, or what, but the time is under reported. I set up a limit for the application, which never kicks in.
Kind of a bummer when the hit game of the season that literally tens of millions of kids play each month can not be monitored correctly. Anyone else have a solution? I'm currently just blocking it at the router so that my kid does not get distracted.
Again, I'm pretty disappointed with the screen time tool. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Normally, I'd say that's the case (for sure!), but I actually asked him to help me try to troubleshoot it, so I think he was being on the up and up. I'll have to see if he reinstalled the app or something and that affected the time accounting. I googled as you suggested...those kids are crafty!
At the end of the day, I want my kid to be able to self-mange, and to be mindful of time online. We just need some reliable tools to help. It may be that turning off access at the tap (i.e., at the router) when kids should be doing other things (and need help avoiding distractions the likes of Fortnite) is the best way to go in the meantime.
I'll keep this group posted. Thanks for your help!!
I am glad I found this thread. I am having no luck whatsoever with Screen Time on 3 different iphones. For me, the main issue is that usage data is not collected for more than 1 or 2 days. The other issue is the seemingly inaccurate data.
I don't think it had anything to do with upgrading to 12.1. After we upgraded all devices, the usage stats were still not working for a while. Then they came back a couple of days later. I suspect Apple fixed something on their end.

Seems to be an Apple bug. Strange that more people aren't reporting this.
That usually means that it isn’t affecting a lot of people, so it isn’t strange at all.
We rebooted the phone. It came back for less than a day and we lost one child again.
It registers him as not using his phone.
Same problem here. My three children's screen times are not syncing with either parents devices anymore. Used to work fine when I first set them up.
OK. Any solution suggestions?
I just submitted a bug report, fwiw.
I did too. Hopefully there are some Apple employees with the same problem, my hopes aren't high about the feedback page.
Same issue here. When I spoke with customer support a few weeks ago...they didn't have an answer to this issue.
Was this after upgrading to iOS 12.1?
Before and after for me.
I've got nothing still. I am currently upgrading my OS to 12.1, but I am not overly hopeful. Will keep this group posted.
