I had the same issue with both Brother DCP-6690CW and Samsung C480FW. Ran a network configuration and noticed that since updating to Mojave (when the print problems began) that the IPv6 had been disabled. Go into your printer settings and enable IPv6, turn printer off and restart and all should be OK again.

The Canon Software "MP Navigator EX 5.1" for scanning is not supported (Nov 2018) on Mojave (10.14) for the Canon PIXMA MX892 printer (and others). The workaround is to download all 3 Canon MX892 drivers for High Sierra (10.13) ; then use the Canon Utility "Canon IJ Network Selector EX" to select the printer, then add the printer via System Preferences with the Bonjouor multi-function driver. After this you can scan by using the Mac application "Image Capture"; or by going to System Preferences, Printer and clicking on the "Scan"; "Open Scanner" button.

After a few more hours of try, I am now able to install the proper driver rather than the AirPrint driver.

I done the following.

  1. Download the latest driver for Mac OS 10.13
  2. Goto Apple\System Preferences\Printer and Scanner
  3. Add Printer
  4. Use\Other...
  5. Look for the driver from the package
  6. \MAC_Installer\MAC_Data\Printer Driver\Group\PrinterData\Common\Model\C48x\Samsung C48x Series.gz

Apple Bug Reporter Item: 46807004

Routed printing id broken in macOS Mojave limiting printing to only devices on a user's local subnet. This affects Bonjour, LPP, and Windows printing, all models of printers, and any model of Mac. The issues occur on systems that have been upgraded to Mojave or brand new Macs out of the box.

Printing to devices on the same subnet still works with Bonjour etc, but the printing to printers on different subnets fails, even though you can ping them or open their web page.

This is not a driver or configuration issue that the user can fix. It is a defect in Mojave that must be fixed by Apple.
