Firefox showing black screen after Mojave update (MBP '13 Non Touch Bar 2017)

After the Mojave update Firefox is not working. It shows a black screen on launch and nothing works. Even when I open the "about Firefox" pane the dialog box that appears is black. I've uninstalled and re-installed but in vain. I've even tried installed the beta and nightly versions, but same issue on those as well. My current Firefox version : 62.0.3.

recent Firefox browser problems Firefox says it's version 91.3 is up to date -- recently downloaded. Either before then, but definitely after, Firefox continually crashes using Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7. Who is responsible for this? Mac? Firefox? I suspect Mac because Mac's Pages program also crashes regularly. Nobody wants to hear from a user, and I wouldn't know how to do that if they did. Sometimes, Mac will notice and say 'Report Problem to Mac' which I do. Nothing changes. This happens now every day. It never used to. Does anyone have any solutions? The only thing I do is click "shut down" -- then force it to manually, since it never shuts down all the way, then manually restart. Then it works fine --- until it doesn't again. Thanks.

Safari Not Working Safari Version 13.0.1, has suddenly stopped working on my Mac Book Pro. When I try to search or click on one of my favorites the blue "working line" starts under the address bar, but then nothing happens. I have cleared my cache, cleared my history, closed and restarted Safari, restarted my computer, etc, but nothing has worked. Firefox works fine. Any idea of what the issue might be?
