Hi everyone. I have a problem with my iPhone 7 Plus. Whenever I plug in my apple EarPods with the lightning connector into my phone it does not recognize that they are even plugged in, and instead keeps using its built in speakers. Please help me figure this out

Check the charging port for lint or other debris.
Also try this:
1) Open the Control Center
2) 3D press on the music controls
3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)
4) Select headphones
