one track not bouncing to wav

I have a MacBook Pro on Mojave with Logic Pro 10.4.2.

My problem is that one of my software instrument tracks using an internal instrument is not bouncing to wav, but it bounces to mp3. All other traces are bouncing to both. I have tried reloading another piano instrument and copy-pasting the notes but the problem persists. It also persists if I delete previous wav bounce files and create a new one instead of replacing.

Aaah, now I get it.

But I still don't get it... 😕

So the piano is missing from the Wav file, but not from the MP3? I don't get that, because, as I said, the MP3 is made from (after) the wav, which is bounced first. So if something is missing from the wav, it must be missing from the MP3 as well.

Is the piano track a software instrument? If so, try bouncing-in-place (bip) of the piano track, mute the original SI-track), en then bounce to wav. Does that work?

Also, what sometimes clears these glitches up is to save, quit, reboot your Mac and reopen the project and try again.

It is not clear to me what you are doing exactly. How are you bouncing? Or are you talking about bounce-in-place? Are you talking about bouncing a project, or just one individual track?

Can you make a screenshot of the bounce dialog window?

It is in fact impossible to not bounce to PCM (which is what wav is), as Logic can only make MP3 after first making a PCM (wav or aiff), that PCM (wav or aiff) is then converted (encoded) into MP3. If you set your bounce dialog to bounce only to MP3, Logic still creates a PCM (wav or aiff) first, then moves that PCM to the trash after it encoded an MP3 from it. So in any case you should be able to find that wav in your trash.
