I have hit the shuffle button on my device iPhone X, software 12.0.1, and it will not shuffle my playlist. The shuffle button does not change color at all. It plays the same song over and over again.

Next to Shuffle is the Repeat button. My guess is that Repeat is highlighted with a "1" in between the arrows. This causes the same song to be played over and over. Select Repeat again to turn off repeat.

Select the now playing bar toward the bottom of the screen. Now scroll down and you’ll see the repeat button.
There is no repeat button.
It used to work fine. Then just stopped.
I like to think of myself as tech savvy....apparently not enough!
