Nikon software crashing

Hi I am desperate for some help,

I am a pro photographer and Use Nikons own software , View Nx-1 for sorting photos after a shoot, its excellent and very fast to use, i have tried lots of others and there's nothing out there that's as quick to use. however about 6 months ago it started crashing from time to time, the app would just quit, generate a crash report , restart and away to go again, it would go for 10 mins to 2 hours or anytime in between,


Recently it started crashing straight as i try to open it.


I have tied lots of things, reinstall, wipe - reinstall etc, been through Nikon's support network etc etc. but am stuck. i have tried in safe mode and it also crashes.


However- i setup a new user on my mac and hey presto the software runs so i assume it must be something to do with my login.

if i post a crash report would anyone here be able to point me in the right direction to fix it ?


To add, its a mid 2014 retina mbp , running mojave ( i hoped the new os might fix the crash situation but made no difference)
