BIP sound waves too big?

So I had drummer midi track which I needed to Bounce in Place,

I have chosen BIP, and the new audio track sound waves look HUGE. why is this?

But do they SOUND ok though?
If they sound OK, it could simply be that you have your waveform zoom set to bigger than 'normal'. Turn it off, and the waves will look "fitting" again.

If that isn't it, and it also sounds too loud, look at how the plugins on your drummer track are set, turn down their Gain if necessary, or bypass 'm alltogether before you BIP (and simply copy them over to the BIPped track afterwards).

That's what the waveform looks like after being processed with whatever plugins you have on the track. It's exactly what you're hearing. You can go into the red on individual tracks because of Logic's incredible headroom (still not recommended) but as long as it's not driving the output bus into the red it's generally considered safe. I wouldn't want too many tracks like that though.
