Several photos taken on iPhoneX (iOS 12) and synced via iPhoto Library have diagonal artifacts in views, thumbnails, and all Shared Albums on all devices. However, the artifacts disappear when viewed in Mac Photos Editor (but reappear when leaving Edit mode).
Anyone else seen this? (Example on sweatshirt arm left side of below screen captures)

I'm having this problem since the summer. I now had 10.14.1 and at least 105 of my photos have been destroyed thanks to this mess. ***. How do I fix this????
That's 10% of my photos, not 105 of my photos. My iMac is from late 2012. Is this Apple's wonderful way of forcing me into a new iMac????
Hi, can you please check your original bug report status? Mine was tagged duplicate and closed, though I don’t know if they closed it because it was a duplicate or if it was fixed.
I just got an update that the parent bug report has been closed, most likely indicating that a fix has been provided. Hoping the next GM release has the fix.
Mojave latest 10.14.2 seem to have fixed the issue. I took a HEIC photo and previewed it before upgrading, artefacts were there, after upgrade they are gone for the image.
How are you getting 10.14.2? When I do software update it states I am up to date but have 10.14.1
Try restarting, then software update.

Once upgraded to 10.14.2 the artifacts have disappeared. But I do need to edit each one & make some additional adjustment to the image for it to go away.
