I have an email from Amazon that didn't completely download...and will not still. I know what the content was because I read it on the iMac. However the iPhone "is unable to move email to trash" and returns it the the original file. I updated to iOS 12 and that didn't help at all. This is irritating! This is on iPhone SE iOS 12,0.1

Try going to Settings --> Passwords and accounts --> clicking on the affected email account ---> delete account
Then go back to Settings ---> passwords and accounts ---> and click on "add account" and re add your mailing account.
Then go back to your email and try to delete it.

This is an issue with your email account, not your device. You need to work with your email provider.
It is not a problem in my email on my iMac, just the iPhone.
Same email is not on the computer.
