How to copy 'Home videos' back from iphone to mac
I have some "Home videos" that I made in imovie from my travels and kept copies on both my iphone and my ipad. I also had a backup on an external WD Passport drive. Very recently my WD passport drive just stopped working with very slim chances of data recovery due to a mechanical issue. Unfortunately my imac's hard drive stopped working literally 3 days later. I lost all my imac's data together with the full WD passport backup literally at the same time. People who fixed my imac and installed a new ssd drive were not able to recover anything from the old hard drive either. The most precious was the GoPro footage from all my travels over the years. At least the ones that I have already put together into final videos in imovie were copied onto my iphone and ipad. However, I struggle to now copy them back to my newly repaired imac. Is there any way at all I can do that given they are not purchased videos but my own imovie videos. I don't understand the logic behind not being able to copy back anything other than purchased videos. Is there a solution or software that can help me get them back?
