OS Is Corrupted on Macbook Pro
Hi,
Last week, I took my laptop with me to my cousin's birthday party to DJ some music. When I try to boot up my computer, it was stuck in the loading screen. It would show the apple logo. The loading bar would appear for about 30 seconds. Then it would go away and the buffer icon would appear at the bottom and it will continue to do that and it will be stuck like that forever.
I tried to go into recovery mode to do a disk repair. When I verified it, it told me that my HDD was Corrupted. So, is there a way how I can work around this without loosing all of my information? Did I loose all my data? Can I back my data up on another hard drive and then reinstall Mac OSX? What can I do?
I've went to the Apple store. The Genius bar told me that I had to Go to Micro Center. They could take my computer apart, back my hard drive up to an external, format, and reinstall my OS Because Apple was not Licensed to do so. Any information or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks alot!!
