mojave finder tab labels

Mojave seems to have made a bad change in Finder's labels in tabs. In Sierra, Finder tabs showed only the 'last' folder name, so you could tell one tab from another.

Mojave tries to display the entire path name in the tab; but the tabs aren't big enough, so they all look the same.

You can see this in the the three tabs in the middle. They each point to a different folder, but you can't tel them apart.

This seems to me like a major bug. The tabs in Mojave's Finder become almost useless.

Doe anybody have any ideas?

Found it. Credit to an article by Tom Nelson on Lifewire.com.

Open the terminal and paste the following command (without the quotes):

"defaults write com.apple.finder _FXShowPosixPathInTitle -bool false"

Restart the Finder (use "killall Finder" in Terminal). Should be fixed.
