itunes backup locations

Hello,

I just bought a new laptop, ill post the specs now.

my problem is I installed iTunes from the Microsoft store and I have a 126 GB iPhone 7 plus that I want to back up, I have 2 drives (C: for the SSD and D: for the HDD)I want to back up and add everything to my D: drive as well as adding the entire library there such as photos, videos etc ... I don't want to move my old library here I want a fresh start with backups and music added to the D: and not the system C: drive...

And any other help on how to install programs and such to the D: would be appreciated as I want the D: drive to have program files and program files (x86) so I could install them there.

I don't mind deleting iTunes or making a new library like I read it says I should hold the windows button and click on iTunes but I get stuck at that point and don't know what to do

Choosing what music syncs to the iPhone shouldn't have any impact on the photos and apps already on the device. That said if you have photos that are only stored on the device and nowhere else you would be advised to make copies first.

If I go on iTunes while my phone is connected.

in the summary, I have 27.27GB free

when I go to music and "tick" the sync music I have 37.61

and in the bar down on iTunes, the apps (light green) goes away I'm guessing deleting the apps on that iPhone

suggestions?

Apps haven't been synced to the device since iTunes 12.7 (see Managing apps with iTunes 12.7 or later). The iTunes space map may be somewhat erratic. Syncing Music to the device shouldn't affect other content already on it.

It ought to be working then. Try rebooting both the computer and the iPhone then try again.

it worked after restarting the laptop and Iphone but,

it backed it up to the C:/ now its 75.8GB of free space and the D:\ is 914GB

do I just make a new junction? for the backup folder, we found C:\Users\alisw\Apple\MobileSync\Backup to the D:\MobileSync\Backup\ and if so how?

really need to start using my new iPhone lol

Then it ought to be working properly. Data that iTunes tries to store inside

C:\Users\alisw\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

should actually be stored in

D:\MobileSync\Backup

Move or copy the files into the Automatically Add to iTunes folder inside your media folder.

this is what I got.. I will make a backup when I'm home as I do not have a lightning cable with me ATM.
