iPhone automatically texts wrong number.

When I try and text my wife or my son my phone will only text whom texted me last.

If I get a text from my son, then try and text my wife it automatically defaults to sending it to my son and visa-versa and it doesn’t matter how long it’s been between texts. All are iphones and all are set to send/receive texts from the aplicable number. This was never a problem until just before the new IOS software release. I was hoping that might fix it up it didn’t.

I called support and it was obvious the tech had never heard of such a thing & didnt offer any real solution so I was hoping someone here has dealt with simila.

Are any of you sharing an Apple ID? Seems that it has become an issue, even if you had been using the same setup in the past.

That is a start, but it won't solve your problem until you delete all conversations that use the wrong number from all phones.

You are better off giving your 12 y/o their own account. That way they won't be able to read all of your texts, emails, see all of your photos, use all of your apps, see all of your notes, see all of your contacts, the web sites you visit, all of your passwords...
