Books "Go To Page Number" Option Missing?

I have written references to page numbers, such as "see page 253", but using the MacOS Books application I can't figure out how to jump to a specific page.

Currently I have to hover my cursor over the bar along the top of the book, then go to the Table of Contents menu, expand a chapter then select a section that starts with a page number that is close. Then I use the left and right keyboard arrows to get to the page I want.

Seems like there should be a shortcut (like CMD-G) that would open a "Go to: " prompt to enter a page number, or something else, but I can't seem to find it.

Or maybe there's a reason we shouldn't be able to jump to a page?
