Safari interface with Spectrum internet

There is a glitch with the interface between Safari and Spectrum internet that results in consistent messages that Safari cannot find the server. Yet I can reach all these websites with Chrome. Both Apple and Spectrum blame each other and basically refuse to do anything useful. Any ideas?
