Grab App

Since Mojave Apple have replaced grab with screenshot which may be cooler for some people but is almost useless for me because grab would display a full sized image (in whatever format I chose which was usually jpg) and I could just drag this into another app such as notes. I could then just discard the image with no need to save it.

Now I have to go to wherever screenshot stores the results (desktop or a folder) and look for the image I want to use.

Is there a way of tweaking screenshot to work the way the old grab app did?

Fo the time being I have reinstalled the old grab.app from my time machine and it seems to work.
