Getting message to close Safari Quick Look Preview

I'm trying to reinstall some Adobe CS3 software and getting a message that Safari Quick Look Preview must be closed before installing the software. Same msg even after quitting Safari and restarting. Dock shows only Finder is running. My mind is boggled... can anyone clue me in ? Running Mac OS 10.13.6

Mac mini, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that you are unable to update Adobe CS3 as you are getting an error saying Safari Quick Look Preview must be closed before installing the software. In a situation like this installing the update while in safe mode may help.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

➕✅ THANKS Becky ! Starting up in Safe Mode allowed me to install the 2 Java updates, which gave my Mac the ability to run Adobe CS3 again. You get the "Life Saver" award today !

Thanks again, I'll remember Safe Mode start up in the future.
