Where did the “add” button go in adjustments?

The "Add" button has been removed by the upgrade from Photos 2.0 to Photos 3.0 and 4.0 It is no longer necessary, because Photos is now showing all available adjustments at once, without the necessity to add advanced adjustments. Since the list of adjustments is rather long, scroll it up or down to see all available adjustments. The scroll bar is t the right border of the adjustments pane. It may be hidden, if you did not enable the scrollbars to be always visible. Just try to scroll nevertheless.

Only the histogram can be added separately from the view menu. It should either be showing "Hide Histogram" or "Show Histogram"

Also, the option for histogram is greyed our in the drop down menu..

Are you in Edit Mode? The option to add the histogram is only available when you are in Edit mode.

Select a photo thumbnail and double click it to view it enlarged. Then click the "Edit" button in the toolbar to open the editor pane. Now click the Adjustments button to see the pane with available adjustments. The histogram will be at the top of the adjustments. Just click the disclosure triangle at the left of "Histogram", if the histogram should be collapsed.
