iCloud grayed out

iCloud is grayed out on my iPad Pro have tried everythin, iOS is up to date.

iPad Pro 10.5-inch, Wi-Fi, iOS 12.1

You nailed it. I had work install access to my work email and it added a restriction the prohibits iCloud. I deleted it and it now is working. Will have to check with work IT on a way to install our app without the restriction.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that iCloud is grayed out on your iPad Pro. I would be happy to help point you towards a resolution.

To help further isolate potential causes, I would like to start by having you check the following:

  1. From Settings > General, do you see a Profile option listed below where it says VPN? If so, you'll want to check that the profile doesn't restrict access to iCloud.
  2. From Settings > [your name], scroll to the bottom of the screen. Does it indicate your iPad Pro is currently restoring from a backup? If so, you may need to wait for the restore process to complete before enabling specific iCloud features, such as automatic backups.
Some additional information that would be also helpful to know is: is it the option to sign in/sign out of iCloud that is grayed out or is it specific iCloud features? Do you receive an error and if so, what does it say?
