Can i use a key command to change a patch?

Hi ,

in Ableton Live you can assign eitheR Midi controllers or Keyboard I put (eh typing the letter Z) to control any paramaeter.

i can see with MainStage how easy it is to do that with midi controllers and dwirches.

Can you do it with QWERTY keyboard input and if so how?

Can I "speed up" a patch Is it possible to speed up a single patch in MainStage? What I mean is, I am for example required to play a harp glissando - an ascending scale of notes that is pre-programmed to the patches and is launched by pressing a single key. But it lasts too long; the glissando is supposed to fill one bar of the music (about 1-2 seconds), but it takes over 2 bars (4 secs). Is there a way to make the patch faster and take less time? (I know I can lift the key at desired moment and the patch goes silent, but then it just breaks in the middle of the glissando and sounds stupid.)

Sending a program change to MS (v.3.5.3) So, something that should be a no-brainer, but for the life of me I can't get it to work. I'm using a Yamaha S90-ES (yeah, as good as the kbd is/was, that may already be a part of the problem). I'm wanting to simply map a patch button from the kbd's panel to a specific patch in a MS concert. MIDI monitor shows pgm change reception (1 0 8, in this case), but when I set the MS patch to Program Change 8, it isn't selected. Of course, otherwise, MS plays and responds to controller input as expected. For those that have or know the S90, I've got Bank select off, Pgm Change on, and above all, like I said, MS otherwise plays and responds to controller data as expected. I have tried it with Bank select on, and the patch in MS assumedly set to the matching MSB/LSB from the ES90 Data List (in this case 63/9), but no go. I've also looked at the Audio/Midi setup, but nothing obvious there, either. Thanks in advance, folks.

Set up Standard Patch when adding new track or creating new session? Hi, I do not want to insert always my standard plugins manually. I want to open a new session and when LogicProX asks me to load either an instrument or an audio track, and "loading standard patch" is enabled (direct translation from the German version), I want to get my list of PlugIns already loaded. I googled a lot and searched for youtube tutorials. I could not find any information, how to set up my own standard patch! And I do not want to create a track and then go to Channelstrip-Settings -> load setting. Thank you! M1, newest LogicPro X

If what you’d like to do isn’t possible with MainStage’s keyboard shortcuts, it will almost certainly be possible if you use BOME’s MIDI Translator Pro together with MainStage. https://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator

MainStage’s keyboard shortcuts are quite limited in terms of controlling performance or patch parameters.
