I had more than a few text replacements which have just stopped working after I got the most recent update on my iPhone. I deleted the shortcuts and retyped them, but they still just don't replace the shortcut text. How can this be fixed? I've also tried all the regulars: I've turned it on and off, done a manual restart, and deleted/re-added all my shortcuts.

Did you use the shortcut then tap spacebar to activate replacement?
Try and test each of these basic troubleshooting steps:
Restore from backup

Restore as new

If restore as new works means your backup is corrupted.
Edited: Is Predictive ON? (in Settings > General > Keyboards > Predictive : ?
Which app were you using the text replacement?
Just tested on my iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 12.1 and it's working.
Do a
Restart / Force Restart
I was on iMessage, although it's not working on any of my other apps either (like Instagram). I did force restart it also.
