unable to remove vpn configuration ios 12

I upgraded my phone to iOS 12. When I went into Settings I noticed for the VPN menu option it said "Update Required".

So I went into the VPN menu and it says "F5 Access Legacy - Update Required" on the VPN Configuration.

The problem is that the F5 Access Legacy App is not supported under iOS 12 and the replacement that is supported under iOS 12 (F5 Access App) doesn't see the VPN configuration at all when it is installed.

Within the VPN configuration it says "To configure the settings, use the F5 Access Legacy application." and there is no option to delete the configuration.

So i'm being asked by Apple to have the F5 App updated, and F5 is telling me that they are not updating the Legacy App and that I need to use the new App which doesn't see the configuration. Is there no way through Apple to just delete VPN configurations that have been created by an app the has hijacked those configurations?
