I totally agree. I installed Mojave and for two days could hardly use my machine. Kept getting the wheel turning, screen jumping and freezing and other issues. I had to jump thru hoops to get back to High Sierra. Now I get an error when trying to update to 10.13.6. Hope downgrading didnt jack up my macbook!
I think I have the same problem. After installing the update the Install splash screen is shown (again) for a little while followed by an error that the update fails to install. I don't know the Error number.
I had to reinstall High Sierra and leave the update uninstalled. As I learned Safari 12.0.1 is involved in this update (at least it is shown in my app store updates screen but 12.0.1 is already installed (twice ???). See screenshot.
Anyone an idea?
I have the same issue as well. This happens when the computer (imac) tries to install Mohave.
In fact, Mohave is a terrible piece of software. I installed it originally and it had issues with the network card - the "senior" advisor said it was a hardware issue, but after three installs and a visit to the Genius bar where they wiped my drive, installed a "clean" copy of Mohave and tried to reinstall my software which didn't happen with migration assistant after 14 hours, I went back to Sierra. Hours and hours of wasted time and it is a software problem as it was discussed in the developers site where they had the same issues in beta.
Staying with Sierra, works fine and why mess with success? Mohave *****!
Many owners experience update problems. See other topics.
I'd wait until Apple comes up with a fix.
Agree totally with Niek66.
I can see zero advantages to Death Valley.
Any updates from Apple? I can't update my installation either.
