Create Booklet help...

I really need some booklets for the class I'm teaching this week

OK. Pages 1st Aid.

Print the document single-sided. Take the hard copy to a photocopy shop and ask them to copy double-sided and bind. Specify which edge of the paper is the binding edge (top or side).

2nd Aid will come when you give us more information 😉.

I wasn't responding to you. The original poster is using Pages v7.3 on Mojave, where the circa 2007, third-party Create Booklets solution does not work, any better than it does on High Sierra for me. Applications written over eleven years ago do have a shelf life on OS X/macOS.

As I have neither your anonymous Word version, or an installed Sierra operating system, I cannot test further.

I have two computers running on High Sierra OS. On both of these a result from searching om Safari can be printed in a Booklet form using the "Create Booklet" function. But with the new Mojave OS it seem to work somehow but nothing comes out. No booklets. No nothing. And this just because I upgraded one of my computers to Mojave OS. Do you think I will upgrade the other two? No!

But who talked about Pages? I use MS Word. And I use Safari. And from each of which I can create Booklets and print booklets with the OS Sierra. So what you just tell is not right.

And you say "No surprise after six years". Well when would I be surprised? five years? My car is 12 years old and it works fine!

I find it very annoying that the Mac OS does not come with a built in feature to create booklets. I produce a lot of written pages and Create Booklets was my way out. Now I have to share my papers with my PC computer which have this feature built into the system. It saves a lot of paper to write booklets. But this seems to be of no interest to Apple.

I was just googling on the subject "create Booklet" and the this site poked up. And I found that someone had the same problem as I had. And this person did not have an answer. So I told the person of my experience. But all of a sudden I am not welcome to discuss these problems because it is a club for Pages. Excuse me but it seem to affect all program on Apple OS, also the Safari which is an Apple product. So I looked for help and you shut me out. Thank you!

I have the same problem. And it seems to have started after I installed the MacOS Mojave. I actually have the Imac and the one with the old OS work fine. So: Oups Apple - you did it again!

Is there a way to get the old OS back?

There used to be a free Create Booklet developed by a third-party several years ago for OS X Lion (10.7) that installed an Automator action, and an Automator Print plug-in into /Library locations:

/Library/Automator/Create Booklet.action

/Library/PDF Services/Create Booklet.workflow

The latter was responsible for the Print… PDF : Create Booklet menu item. I just sent a Pages v7.3 document via the old Create Booklet v1.2 solution on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and nothing was produced. No surprise after six years of operating system updates. Any version change in Pages would be irrelevant to this old third-party application now failing to work.

Create Booklet 2 is now a paid ($19.99USD) Mac App Store application that requires OS X 10.10 or later.
