Unable to install some apps on Watch Series 4

I just got a Watch Series 4 and I have an iPhone 6 Plus. I was able to install some apps on the watch, but others never make it, they'll spin for a while, then the circle will begin to fill, and I can see the app's icon on the watch filling up, but when it gets near the end it just disappears. Things I've tried:

* Restarting both devices.

* Uninstalling/Reinstalling the watch app from the phone.

* Unpairing/Re-pairing the watch.

* Resetting the phone.

* Resetting the phone without using a backup.

Any other ideas?

I contacted Apple Support yesterday afternoon and they took some diagnostic data from the watch and the phone and are going to give me an update sometime today. I'll post back here when I know more.

Same problem. I have a 6 plus and an 8 day old watch. Night Sky, Shazam, Citymapper, and Notebook all worked before the update. I have done all of the steps above including a complete phone restore.

I just used StreetRecordz workaround and was able to install apps, nice work everyone! Still hoping that Apple releases a fix, but nice to be able to install some apps even if it's some extra effort.

In addition I will be commenting anywhere I see an AWS 4 article or video that iPhone 6 Plus owners consider not purchasing right now because of this issue.

Unfortunately your work around will not work for me as I do not have a MAC. I am beginning to post wherever I see an article or video about the AWS 4 that all iPhone 6 Plus owners beware.
