The search engine of Safari has changed to Bing and now I cannot change it back. When I try Safari > Preferences > Search, and select Google, it just changes to Bing automatically. I have also looked in the Applications folder and I don't find any suspicious programs. I have deleted all extensions from Safari, too. What else can I do?

There is no reason to leave it installed once troubleshooting is finished. The free version doesn't update itself. If you need it again, you can download it again.

I have just clicked on the magnifying glass icon next to the bar and selected Google. It worked.
I've tried that but when I select Google, it automatically changes itself to Bing again.
What did you do to remove Bing? Can you give me an 'idiot's' guide please! 🙂
