How do I get Photos to display the picture number under each picture?

How do I get Photos to display the picture number under each picture?

Upgrade to macOS 10.14 Mojave and Photos 4.0.
In the View menu enable the option "Metadata > Titles".
In Photos 4.0 you will see the filename of the photos below the thumbnails, if a photo does not have a custom title. In older versions of Photos only the custom titles are shown below the thumbnails.
For example, in Photos 4.0 on macOS 10.14.1 Mojave:
Upgrade to macOS 10.14 Mojave and Photos 4.0.
