is it me or does anyone else have this problem? My iphone 8 volume down button is not working. The volume bar does not show ethier. I checked to see if it is water damaged but it is not.

It sounds like you should visit an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Center. Let them assess the iPhone and advise you how to proceed.
