Can’t play video using an adapter since day after iOS 12

I can no longer play video from iPhone 8 Plus using Apple an adapter to my tv or my pioneer 4100nex headUnit. I paid a lot of money for the radio so I could play video from phone. It worked then that night I downloaded iOS 12 and next day I get sound no video. This has been months now no fix. This is going to make me switch to the galaxy if this isn’t addressed ASAP. pionner has said its an Apple issue ! Anyone know how to fix or what to do !!!!

Download in accessory firmware I connect my IPhone 12 Pro Max to a TV HDMI slot with the Apple Lighning Digital AV Adapter. This allows me to watch vide on the TV from my iPhone. Also to watch movies, etc. Since the last IOS update this does not seem to be working and I get the message "Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes. OK". However nothing is downloading and still cannot connect the iPhone to the TV via the adapter lead. Anyone suggest what is going on here ?

iPhone XS Max Video Connection Issue I have an Alpine car stereo and when I try and connect to it using Carplay using the Lightning Connectoror to watch YouTube using an HDMI connection all I get is a blank screen. I can hear the sounds coming out of my truck speakers just no image. I also have trouble connecting to my AppleTV 4K when using screen mirroring; I would choose the device and for a moment the image would show up on the tv but the streaming would never start, the spinning loading circle would just keep running.My iPhone X works just fine with everything mentioned above and it also has IOS 12.0 installed. Is this a software fix or do I just return the XS Max and wait until next year?
