HEIC and JPG duplicates on PC

I use iCloud Photo Library to optimise the storage on my iPhone.

I want to save a copy of my photos from iCloud onto my PC so I've installed iCloud for Windows on and have 'My Photo Stream' and 'upload from PC' both set to off, however I've noticed while the photos are downloading that there are duplicates (file names the same) but different extensions (HEIC and JPG).

There are no duplicate photos stored on iCloud, and I haven't plugged my iPhone in via USB so they aren't being imported twice.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Go to Settings --> Photos --> All the way down, you're set to "Automatic" in the "Transfer to Mac or PC". Switch to Originals...
