Remove device from Find Friends but still use it

I'm dating a lovely lady who's been badly burned in the past by a cheating man so she has trust issues. I've allowed her the ability to see my location on Find Friends, but she informs me that with me having both and iPhone and an iPad, it's possible to trick people by switching Find Friends to my iPad, leaving it in a location making people think I'm at that location, but I've really left with my iPhone and gone somewhere else. I've verified that this is indeed true.

I'd like to remove my iPad from Find Friends, but it won't do it. I've swiped to remove the device but it keeps coming back. I don't want to have to log out of my Apple ID on the iPad because I use it. Is there a way to make Find Friends use only my iPhone, or have it show both devices?

Please refrain from teasing. This is an important matter for me.
